Can anyone help me with the prison puzzle on Teledahn? I have the map and know the D'ni numbers for the four plates that need weight added to them and have rolled stones on and off them to no avail. The yellow paddles never change to grey...what am i not doing? I'm a novice and need a little hand up... headbang.gif

Hmmm . . . Those pesky prison doors. Sounds like you may need to rethink your solution a bit yet.

Nudge:

Are you sure you have placed all the stones correctly? The paddles indicate on/off, but which color is which?

Bigger nudge:

What if the paddles were something besides just indicators for the floor plates?

Even bigger nudge:

The paddles are switches AND indicators. They dont change unless you manipulate them directly.

Ok, last hint:

Yellow means put something heavy on it. Grey means leave it clear. Now figure out whether to read it right to left or left to right!

Good luck!

Also, one thing I have found is that all things are not equal...

Some of the things you can manipulate do not have enough mass to *keep* a plate down (e.g. some of the smaller rocks). Make sure you don't hear the plate rise after you step off to be certain the plate is fully and properly weighted.
