As some of you may remember, I play various musical instruments, mostly of the keyboard variety. (Piano, organ, synthesizer...) I just play for my own enjoyment, for anyone who happens to be visiting, and occasionally take a keyboard along to family gatherings.
![]() Often I'll start noodling around, not paying much attention to where my fingers are going, and a melody seems to come out of thin air. Sometimes my Muse is working overtime, because rather than just a simple musical phrase, something approaching a complete piece shows up. Unfortunately, I'm usually NOT recording at the time. Played once, and maybe never again except as incompletely remembered fragments. ![]() I recently acquired a new digital piano and have set it up in the computer room. This has made it MUCH easier to try to remember to record whatever random creations might show up. ![]() The links below are to three such creations. These are completely "raw" recordings, played as they came to me, with the exception that "Noodles1" does flow into one of my older themes. As raw creations, the balance may be off, and all the rough edges and little mistakes are included, not edited out. No refinements have been made at all. This is just me, playing around. ![]() Pipes (Yamaha PSR510 keyboard) Noodles1 (Yamaha DGX520 Portable Grand piano) Noodles030407 (Yamaha DGX520 Portable Grand piano) I've used a compressed MP3 format to cut down the file sizes. Still, I may run into COMCAST's download limits if things like this are popular. ![]() Oh, and yes, these new digital instruments can make almost ANYONE sound good. ![]() -------------------- "What are we going to do today, Borg?"

Except for not knowing one note from another, I'd say I have to agree with Budgie on this one... as one who has always wished she knew how to play the piano, but doesn't....
They are each a very nice listen! ![]() ![]() -------------------- When asked if my cup is half-full or half-empty my response is,

Here's another recent piece of "raw" music I finally got around to putting up on My Website.
Bounce. You might even be able to dance to this one in the cavern now. ![]() It's not that I haven't been composing lately, I just haven't put together very many "complete" compositions and uploaded them. ![]() Here's the direct link to the page with the earlier postings, along with the explanation: Compositions -------------------- "What are we going to do today, Borg?"
