I'm thinking (I have to go in and verify) that I run 30-30-30 and get in the high 900's with an occasional 1,000. I finally posted my 2,175,000+ points to the GoG imager! Figured it was about time! I never have noticed any change in the lake luminescence. They should have at least done something along that line......

The hardest thing about setting the oven controls is what you see is not necessarily what you get. There is a bit of play and you can easily be off what you are trying to set by one number.

Theoretically,
the 19.5 recipe gives:
recipe #200, 1000 KI (less 0-5%), and 200 lake points.

and the 20 recipe gives:
recipe #205, 925 KI (less 0-5%), and 185 lake points.

Both give a bright orange glow.

Once you start getting 1000 KI point results, don't mess with it. This is the best you can do.

I know about the difficulty in setting the oven controls, and I am pretty careful. I was using the 19.5 recipe for a long time and 960 was the average, a spread of pellet points from I think 934 to 986. I bumped it up to the 20 setting and am now getting 976avg with a spread from 952 to 1000. I know that Jiim, you've done a lot of work on this...Do the results for recipe #195 (19 recipe) fit that of my recorded "19.5" setting? I am guessing that since the black ticks are so thick, that the "20" setting I am using is actually 19.5.

Frankly, the image appears to be set at 19.5. The actual reading is the bottom edge of the needle, not the middle or top edge.

the theoretical numbers for the 19 setting:
Recipe # 197
Lake points 197
KI Points 985 less 0%-5% (938-985)
Orange Glow High

I continue to have great success with the 30 30 30 which i used for the recent pellet blitz, i have tried a few other permultations but the 30 30 30 seems the happiest settting overall.

Old Tom agrees with your results. 30-30-30 is easy to set. The hard part is to go back and remove the pellets (brownies) from the ovens. Good job Rex on achieving sooo many points!

Welcome to our forum, Dr. CrisGer! thumbsup.gif

Welcome to you also, Tom Bombadil! thumbsup.gif Let me guess, you're an LOTR fan, too.

Yes the 30-30-30 setting (as close as I can work it) and getting that occasional 1000-point pellet works for me.
