Middle-Earth was the form.

Thanks.

I like this kind of stuff and I was thinking about going over to COBB'S, but I am not secure enough with my computer skills/knowledge to play around with programs. unsure.gif

Well, that depends what you mean by that.

To post a custom emoticon, you can use a service like Photobucket and store the emoticons there. Then when posting, link to the stored image using the IMG tags.

Interesting to know.

But if you want to make up your own color use the color tags like this:
CODE
[color=#123456]Message[/color]

Just replace the 123456 with whatever numbers you want. Keep in mind that there must be six numbers and that the colors are called in RGB hexadecimal values (each value ranging from 00-FF) which any descent graphics program should tell you.

So, for the above example 123456 would equal this color.

Have a question to all you gurus.

When I click on the Bold, Italic or Underscore buttons, my Internet Explorer prompts me to input the text, and if I already typed something, I would have to cut and paste it into that promt.

While in other places, be it a different computer or a diffent forum on my computer, I noticed that I could just press "B" button and the Bold tag would appear, pressing it again, will close the tag. Also I could just select the typed text and click on the "B" button and the whole text string becomes surrounded properly by tags.

What prevents me from using this feature without the prompt on this forum? Is it the setting of my Internet Exporer or someting else? shock.gif

That is the way my IE works with this forum .

Pressing one of the buttons does the open tag and pressing it again does the close tag . Also as you stated , I can highlight certain text and press the bold , italic or underscore button and it puts the appropriate tags around the highlighted text automatically . This also seems to work with the font , color , size , quote , code and spoiler buttons as well .

I use the Mozilla browser. By me the B, I and U buttons toggle the appropriate [x] or [/x] tags. Alternatively I can use from the keyboard the alt-B or alt-I or alt-U keys to enter theese tags and alt-Q for quote. I cannot apply these to a highlighted text.

QUOTE (Tech @ Jan 22 2005, 08:48 PM)
OK, this should now work.

Say I am in Sydney (GMT + 10 hrs) and I want to shedule an event for next Wednesday at 8PM my time.

In the post I am making, I click on the 'localtime' button.
In the popup box, I type 26 Jan 2005 08:00 PM then OK it.

Click here to view a spoiler.

Now after you have submitted it, everyone who views the post will see what time the event is in their local time.  For me in EST, it would be around 5am so I wouldn't be able to make it.

Wednesday 8PM in Sydney will be for you, (so you can see if you can make it too)

Timezones can be very confusing sometimes wink3.gif  lmao.gif
