Just testing the tag
![]() I fill in the date and time, like July 1st, 8 pm and that time will be converted to everyones timezone right? Hmmm... When I fill "July 01, 2006 20:00" in the pop-up box, the time that is automatcly placed by the pop-up changes in my reply screen to "Sun, 02 Jul 2006 03:00:00 GMT" I guess it's suposed to do that ![]() -------------------- |

It shows Sunday, July 02, 2006 15:00:00 - that would be my time for your July 1st 8pm.

I fill in the date and time, like July 1st, 8 pm and that time will be converted to everyones timezone right? Yup, the time is automagically displayed as the right date and time in every users browser.QUOTE Hmmm... Yep, this is expected behaviour. When I fill "July 01, 2006 20:00" in the pop-up box, the time that is automatcly placed by the pop-up changes in my reply screen to "Sun, 02 Jul 2006 03:00:00 GMT" I guess it's suposed to do that ![]() What happens is when you add a localtime, we use javascript on your browser (locally) to convert it from your time to GMT, otherwise we'd have no idea how to convert it correctly for everyone else to see ![]() Then when someone views the post, javascript on the users browser (which knows what timezone you are in) converts it from GMT (in the post) into the proper local time for them. Simple really ![]() ![]() -------------------- Once you go Mac, you never go back!

You can do that in "My Controls" ( it's on the top of the screen under search, members, calendar etc.), and select "Edit Avatar Settings" from the menu on the left.
And welcome to the Guild of Greeters forums ![]() -------------------- |

The popup works in Firefox but not in IE8 where you must type it manually in the correct format. |
