Kind of hard to get to...

I can't for the life of me figure out the right angle to place my avvie to get to that marker. Do I try to jump on the bridge rope and drop to the marker? Do I use the short or the long outcropping next to the railing on the gallery side? Do I jump? Do I walk forwards or backwards? I've tried all of these , but to no avail. I keep missing the mark(er)! Getting a tad frustrated. I tried studying the screenshot provide in the missions walkthrough on this site, but it didn't help much.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Ikonius

ikonius, you have to stay at the right railing of the bridge (not the rope bridge) and just a tad to the left. Don't jump, just walk down. I found out that walking backward helps too.

I did have a lot of problems (even knowing where to step down) with this marker.

Good luck on that smile.gif

It is frustrating. Especially now that City access from nexus is off-limits. So I can't use my concert hall link in point and have to walk aaalll the way around.

Thanks for the help!

This one is not that hard. Although I once actually mananged to jump from the far side and get this marker (picture in the inset), there is an easier way...

Click here to view/hide a spoiler.
first, never try to do any of the jumps in the public city... the lag will always defeat you... use a city instance. For this marker, go to the outcropping on the bridge directly above it, get a close to the railing on the right as you can, and then gently tap.. tap. on the up arrow key in walk mode until you just slide off the edge. You should fall directly on top of it. You may not hear the sound but the light on the KI will illuminate if you are sucessful. If you don't make in 3 tries, consider that you may actually have gotten this and aremissing some other marker.

Why all the way around? The gallery link in the D'ni linking book puts you in at, basically, the bottom of the stairs that lead to the concert hall, which is where you'd link from Nexus anyway. Even the takotah alley link from the Bevin city bahro stone puts you at Takotah alley and you can run down the stairs to the shops/gallery area and back up to the concert hall...

I had found at one time a near-foolproof -- much needed for *this* (points to self) fool! -- description of how to get that marker that was given by Ravin. I will try to find it and post it as an alternative for you to try should the methods above not work for you. Summary of it is, as Ayli pointed out, you have to be to the far edge of the stone bridge just a side-step distance from the railing (being careful not to fall off as you get close to the broken-off part) then you turn to face the middle of the rope bridge and walk-step (not jump or run) off the end of the bridge. You'll catch it on the way down...

Also, don't forget, if the 'normal' city is closed, due to a crowd, you can always access the Neighborhood instance from the Bevin Nexus room linking book. (Once you have done that once, you will have it in your Ae'gura linking book on Relto as a link to the Tree.) I was messing around, getting these markers last weekend, when all the hub-bub of the new game addition was going on. The 'regular' city was always full!

finally got everything solved on my end. My KI's finally up to par and my tree page is now in my Ae'gura book as well. Now to find that additional cannen for my player... Gotta love that Gallery theme smile.gif INHO, it has to one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard in any game.

Tinkster has been messing around in The Caverns . . .
waiting for TeBO to appear . . .
chatting with Bahro Babies . . .
(some of the People in the Stone are helping me watch for him) . . .

running the Great Zero Missions . . .
in reverse order . . .

and finally got down to Mission #3 . . .
and that 11th marker.

Frankly this particular Mental Mobster . . .
doesn't remember it being as difficult as this . . .

but [insert sound of giant exaperated sigh] . . .
I've been rasslin' wit' it now . . .
fer a coupla weeks . . .
off and on.

The jump MUST have twitched a bit . . .
when cavern turf shifted a bit -- and the marker didn't.

Decided to go on a "Help Me!" mission . . .
across forums I'm still comfortable with . . .
and found this thread . . .

and now . . .
am doing a Happy Dance . . .
to discover it tweren't jes the Tinkster's two left feet!

Now I'm off to fall off . . .
backwards . . .
the broken opera-house- end of the bridge . . .
and maybe snag that ghostly sucker.

Thanks, guys!
