This might become a reality. Read about it here.

It says this version allows players to keep journals, generate maps and take snapshots.

A bit of overkill? Perhaps, but its a neat way to introduce the series to another type of gaming audience. smile.gif

What do they mean with "Map Generation"? That the Age is build up like Uru and Myst 5 and that's it's not pre-rendered?

Anyway, I think Myst could be a great game on the DS. Especially when they could implement taking snaphots and writing your own notes. Easy to keep your notes that way when you play it in a place where you don't have pen and paper at your side smile.gif

I'll definitely buy this as soon as it gets released. I think it would be a lot of fun if the could also port the entire myst series (except URU) to the nintendo Wii. I miss Riven. Ever since I upgraded to Vista 64-bit, I haven't been able to get Riven to install or play.

Another fantastic way to show support for the Myst franchise!

Even if I never plug it into my DS, it belongs on my shelf with the Mac version, the Mac Masterpiece version, the RealMyst version, the PlayStation version, the Windows version...

Yegads, between the five (six?) Myst games, I must have 15-20 different boxes now! smile.gif
Makes me wonder how much my original Myst Demo CD would fetch on eBay... whistling.gif

well... it's not like uru and Myst V guys...

it's pre-pictured like Myst for the PC...

You tap the DS touch screen to move forward one screen... it's not like you move around with an Avatar... but w/e...

yay.gif

They were right about Rime not being in the original Myst. They could have mentioned that the Age was later added to RealMYST, so its not really "all-new" (to veterans) BUT it IS new in a sense to those who are new to the series.

Gotta put out an article on this one.
