I've noticed a problem accessing this website as well as WorlsOfGreeters using FF 20.0 (and earlier). Not sure it's worth looking into but thought I should mention it. Using FF20 on Nexus7/Android 4.2, the main screen continually refreshes until I hit the X to stop it. At that point I can finally access whatever is showing on the screen. This appears to only be on the index page for both sites.

I've had that happening for a few other websites lately with IE, but mostly those were sites with improperly constructed active advertising on the pages.

Well, this site was never constructed with the mobile device in mind. When (if rolleyes.gif ) HTML5 becomes fully implemented and the site no longer works, T&T can just pull the plug. That will be a sad day...

Not sure what the problem is to be honest, I've just opened this up fine on my iPad Mini and it worked just fine. Replied using it too.
Unfortunately I don't have a Nexus or Android tablet to check.

The site is HTML4 Transitional (defined by the DOCTYPE on each page) and should work on pretty much anything.

It only happens just after I log in and the index page comes up. All other pages in the forum seem to be OK. I'm thinking it might be a frame issue... the text My Controls . View New Posts . My Assistant . My Friends . x New Messages keeps resizing and the bread crumbs > Guild of Greeters > GoG Help, Support & Feedback > Forum/Website Help & Support > Tablet/mobile Problems occasionaly truncates. Same issue on worldsofgreeters forum. Probably something funky with the Nexus 7 version of FF.

I still have some annoying render problems for font sizes on my Nexus 7 using FF but flipping from landscape to portrait usually fixes it. I tend to blame the browser rather than the site.

I'll try accessing the site/forum via a kindle sometime tommorrow to see if there are any issues in viewing either.

headbang.gif Gah! Now I'm getting the eternal refresh of the board index page on my laptop (IE 11, Win 8.1)! It won't stop until I hit the stop icon. Of course, FF doesn't have a problem with it.
And before someone says it, not everyone uses FF nor wishes to switch.

Just a theory... the problem might have to do with the resizing of the graphic at the top of the page. I know it adjusts to fit the display width of the browser window. Then again, it could be something else entirely.

OK, I'll bite. What is this doing in the index page of the forum which continues to blow up on me in both both FF and IE and in FF on my Android?

CODE

What's it doing? Being annoying as h**k!

Come to think of it, whoever put it there is targeting the wrong group... I don't know anyone here foolish enough to trust buying from a site like that. unsure.gif

There is another line of code about "birth control" just a few lines down from that one.

I also have the constant flashing of the screen after I log in to GOG Forum (Internet Explorer 11). The WEBSITE area doesn't do it.

Cheers,

Dadguy

Unless my memory fails me (unfortunately all too common these days), this is not the first time this or a very similar hack has shown up here. I think Tech is using Centos for the O/S. Might be a hole someone can sneak thru. This is so annoying I'be been avoiding coming here at all.
